In an era when machine made products are ruling our life, woven handmade décor items are rarely available. Bamboo is a product that can be cut, woven, painted and nailed the way you want with minimal damage to the material itself. Unless you throw a burning piece of cloth over a bamboo structure, it will not really come down and there are stories going around that in the orient, people come out of the house and tie themselves up against sturdy bamboo trees at the time of a typhoon. The howling winds may make bamboo sway around dangerously at times with the tip of the tree arching down to the ground, but can never uproot a bamboo tree. This proves the strength and the durability of one of nature’s most useful products. A woven and strongly interlinked bamboo shade is best for those areas of the country, which has the strong sunrays and severe rain lashing the cities. These bamboo shades are available cheaper than the fancied plastic and artificial material available in the shops and though these artificial substitutes may look colorful and attractive, nothing can match the appeal of a bamboo shade. People are becoming more and more environment conscious and more homeowners are opting for products that are eco friendly.

Woven bamboo shades are here to stay. Some of the high-end interior décor shops are shipping in these shades from countries in the Far East, and the south East Asian subcontinent and they are modified and are fitted to the American homes with minor changes and modifications. The more the use of bamboo products in the house the better it becomes since there will be a gradual decrease in the use of artificial non-disposable polymers for home décor and aesthetic use.
